Tiffany Hagar, the managing principal of H&P, is more than just an attorney – she’s a local, through and through. Born and raised just outside the Gladeville community, Tiffany now resides in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and is committed to serving the citizens of Wilson County. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville and received her Juris Doctorate in May 2010. Her legal experiences are diverse and extensive, ranging from serving as a University of Tennessee Legal Clinic student attorney to clerking for the Honorable Judge Thomas Varlan of the Eastern District of Tennessee Federal Court.
Eric Phillips, her partner and co-managing principal of H&P, has also rooted his life deeply in the community. He built his home in Lebanon nearly two decades ago as a registered nurse, a contractor, and an electrician by trade. Eric’s commitment to service extends beyond the legal field. He served the country in the U.S. Department of the Navy from 1988-1992, earning several recognitions for his service. After his military service, Eric embarked on a medical career before earning his J.D. degree from the Nashville School of Law in 2008.
David Brust, another key member of the H&P team, had a journey that took him from Minnesota to Tennessee. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and English at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, graduating Magna cum laude. His academic journey led him to Belmont University College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2022. David started with the firm as an intern in May 2021 and now resides in Nashville with his wife, Shelby, and their yellow Labrador, Elle Woods.
Isaac Wilson, a lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee, brings a unique blend of experiences to the team. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Memphis in 2013, Isaac spent several years in the hospitality and sales industry. He returned to school and earned his Juris Doctorate from Belmont University College of Law in 2022. Isaac began his journey at Hagar & Phillips as an intern in May 2021.
Hope Ford is an accomplished graduate from Cumberland University, and Nashville School of Law. After working five years as an Administrative Assistant and legal Clerk for Hagar & Phillips, she studied and worked hard. She passed the Bar in July, 2025 and was sworn in October, 2025. Hope's steadfast commitment to the legal profession, coupled with a strong academic background sets her apart.
The H&P team comprises Tiffany, Eric, David, Isaac, Hope and our dedicated office staff – Tracey Brennan, Office Manager; Caitlin Avery, Administrative Assistant, Claudia Rojas, Administrative Asistant, and Shea Steinhart, Legal Clerk.
